Dowd, Victor
Victor Dowd was one of the first men in The Ghost Army to land in France. He was in Lt. Bernie Mason's platoon, which went in a week after D-Day, and created a decoy artillery unit to draw fire away from a real one. Here he describes the moment he learned he was headed to France. Victor died in April of 2010.
